Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat an effluent discharged from a kitchen, etc. so as to meet effluent quality standards prior to the discharge thereof into a grease trap or to the outside.SOLUTION: In an effluent treatment method for discharging, into a grease trap or to the outside, an effluent following the mixing therewith of a treatment agent in an agitated state, a liquid saponification agent is used as the treatment agent, whereas the effluent is discharged from a discharge source and includes cooking oils and liquids, whereas, prior to the discharge of the effluent discharged from the discharge source into the grease trap or the discharge thereof to the outside, the effluent is stocked within a reservoir tank either directly or past a pump, whereas the liquid saponification agent is fed into the effluent within the reservoir tank from a treatment agent vessel, whereas the effluent is discharged, as a saponified liquid after having been mixed with the liquid saponification agent and agitated within the reservoir tank by an agitator within the reservoir tank, into the grease trap or discharged to the outside by bypassing the grease trap.
