Title:
METHOD FOR PREVENTING ION EXCHANGE RESIN FROM BEING CONTAMINATED WITH BORON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2014121709
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating an ion exchange resin to be used for stably preparing ultrapure water having the boron concentration equal to or lower than 1 ng/L, and to provide an apparatus for preparing ultrapure water.SOLUTION: The method for regenerating the ion exchange resin comprises the steps of: treating a regenerating agent by using a boron removing means to remove boron therefrom; and bringing the ion exchange resin into contact with the boron-removed regenerating agent. The apparatus for preparing ultrapure water has: a regenerable ion exchange unit; a regenerating agent supply line for supplying the regenerating agent to the regenerable ion exchange unit; and the boron removing means to be disposed on the regenerating agent supply line.
