Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector assembly having the high reliability in the electric contact of contacts with each other, and capable of achieving the highly dense arrangement of the contacts.
SOLUTION: The electric connector 1 comprises first and second connectors 10 and 60 fitted to each other. A first contact 50 of the first connector 10 and a second contact 80 of the second connector 60 respectively comprise fixed parts 51 and 81 fixed to first or second housings 20 or 70, contact parts 52 and 82 extended from the fixed parts 51 and 81 and brought into contact with counter contacts, and substrate connection parts 53 and 83 extended from the fixed parts 51 and 81 and connected to circuit substrates A and B. The fixed parts 51 and 81 of the first and second contacts 50 and 80 are formed only by punching a metal plate, the contact parts 52 and 82 of the first and second contacts 50 and 80 are formed by punching the metal plate and twisting it in the vicinity of a root thereof, and roll surfaces of the contact parts are brought into contact with each other.
