Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for use with flexible board, with which the board will never slip off from the connector even through careless handling.
SOLUTION: A plurality of contacts 3 provided with resilient contacting parts 4A are installed in a housing 1 at its opening facing up, and the housing 1 has a rotary support part in a position confronting the opening. A lid-shaped pressurizing member 7 is supported rotatably by the rotary support part between the specified position close to the contacts 3 and the release position separate from the specified position, and the member 7 has a pressurization part which pressurizes a flexible base board F placed on the contact 3 to them 3 when the member 7 rotates to the specified position. The opening of the housing 1 is fitted with a holder piece of metal 12 equipped with a check wing 13 positioned so as to be close to or contact with the oversurface of the base board F at least at each end of the opening in the direction in which the contact 3 are arranged.
