To provide an electric power steering device improved in steering feeling by properly avoiding the superimposition of noise on a torque sensor signal.
This electric power steering device comprises: an electric motor 12 for transmitting a steering assist torque to a steering mechanism; and a controller 15 for drivingly controlling the electric motor 12 according to a current instruction value by a steering torque. The controller 15 converts the steering torque detected value T detected by a torque sensor 3 into a digital signal by an A/D converter 31, and calculates the current instruction value, based on the digital signal. The A/D conversion of the steering torque detected value T is performed at the timing different from the on/off timing of a motor drive circuit 40.
