To improve operability of a switch knob and prevent invasion of hair wastes and scraps in addition to tightly fixing a switch panel while avoiding a complicated case structure.
A upper section chamber 38 in which a horizontally long edge shaving blade 3 is contained and a panel concave section 39 of the same width as the upper section chamber 38 are installed on a front case 1a. A switch panel 41 is attached to the panel concave section 39 and a switch knob 42 of the same width as the switch panel 41 is attached on a guide concave section 43 of the switch panel 41. The sides of the switch panel 41 and the switch knob 42 which remain assembled are received by both sides 39s of the panel concave section 39 in a way that they are incapable of idle movement in right and left directions. Also a controlling rib 46 provided at the switch panel 41 is held vertically between a step section 74 formed at the front case 1a and a motor holder 10 on to control the upward and downward movement of the switch panel 41.
