Abstract:

PURPOSE: The titled mixed filament yarn that is composed of electrically conductive filaments consisting of the conductive layer containing a large amount of conductive inorganic particles and the protecting layers, and of nonconductive filaments, thus giving good appearance after dyeing.

CONSTITUTION: An electrically conductive polymer that is prepared by mixing 40W80wt% of conductive inorganic particles such as of metal or metallic compound, e.g., titanium oxide with a fiber-forming polymer such as nylon 6 and the identical or same kind of the above polymer are subjected to conjegate spinning through orifices of the spinneret 3 to produce conductive filaments consisting of the conductive layer 2 and the protecting layer 1. In the mean time, only the fiber-forming polymer 1 is extruded through orifices 6 with a larger diameter in order to increase orientation, thus making nonconductive filaments. Then, they are being mixed and taken up into a bundle, then, when necessary, drawn to give the objective mixed filament yarn containing 5W50wt% conductive conjugated filaments.
