PURPOSE: To obtain an electroconductive electrode having a high aspect ratio and improve recording speed by a method wherein a plurality of grooves at the corner between the principal surface of an insulating substrate and the end surface of the same are filled with electroconductive material while a wiring pattern, consisting of an electroconductive layer connected to the end of the opposite side of the end surface of the main surface, is provided as the electroconductive electrode.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of grooves 2 are arranged in parallel on a corner between the principal surface 1A of an insulating substrate 1 and an end surface 1B intersecting with the principal surface 1A with predetermined width, length and pitch and these grooves 2 are filled with electroconductive material to make electroconductive electrodes 3 while a wiring pattern 4, consisting of an electroconductive layer connected to the upper part 1C of the opposite side of the end surface 1B of the principal surface 1A of respective filled electroconductive materials, is provided. As a result, when the section of the grooves 2 is selected so as to be a requested configuration, an electroconductive electrode 3, capable of dot type recording having a high aspect ratio, for example, can be obtained surely and easily. On the other hand, the inclination of the electroconductive recording head 10 is not necessitated to increase a contacting area between the ink ribbon 8 of the electroconductive electrode terminal 3a and when the electrode is contacted with the same vertically, the running direction with respect to paper is not limited and reciprocating running recording is permitted whereby a recording speed is improved.
