Title:
ELECTRONIC WATTHOUR METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3248860
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high accuracy watthour meter by subjecting the output voltage especially from a Hall element to temperature compensation when Hall element is utilized as a multiplier and eliminating the effect of external field.
SOLUTION: The watthour meter comprises a voltage-current converting means 9 comprising a voltage converter 14 and a voltage-current converting circuit 5, and a multiplying means 10 comprising a Hall element 7 and a differential amplifier circuit 16. The voltage between the input end H1 and the output end H4 of the Hall element 7 is converted through the differential amplifier circuit 16 and a resistor 15 into a current of same polarity as the input current to the Hall element 7 and then it is inputted to the Hall element 7. Input current to the Hall element 7 is imparted with a temperature coefficient in order to cancel the temperature coefficient of output voltage from the Hall element 7.
