To provide plating used for various kinds of articles for which plating exhibiting high wear resistance is demanded.

An electrolytic bath containing ≥2 nickel salts, at least one complexing agent, at least one phosphorus salt, further, an anti-tensioning agent and powdery boron carbide is prepared; (b) the articles are electroplated at 40 to 70°C and current density 1 to 10 A/dm2 under stirring in the electrolyte bath and (c) the products plated in the manner described above are heat treated.
