Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to manufacture an electromagnetic wave absorber element by printing by a method wherein a conductive film, whose surface resistivity is continuously changed, is provided on an electrically insulative supporting material and this film is arranged three-dimensionally.

CONSTITUTION: An element 1 consists of a quadrangular piller-shaped molded item 11 and a conductive film 12 formed on the side surfaces of the item 11. A supporting material is a sheet type electric insulator adhered on the item 11. The surface resistivity of the film 12 provided on the surface of the item 11 is continuously changed and it is desirable that the surface resistivity is changed in an exponential function manner in an (x) direction. The film 12 is obtained by printing conductive ink on the supporting material, the surface resistivity of a part, on which the ink is superposed by printing, of the film 12 is small and the surface resistivity of a part, on which the ink is not superposed by printing, of the film 12 becomes comparatively large. It is necessary that the distance (l) between the films of the film 12 is l≤λ compared to the wavelength (λ) of a targeting electric wave. For arranging the film 12 in such a way, the film 12 is directly printed or is subjected to transfer printing on the side surfaces of the item 11.
