Title:
ELECTROMAGNETICALLY DRIVEN VALVE CONTROLLER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2978962
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely prevent an inlet valve and an exhaust valve from being brought in contact with a piston, by driving the inlet valve and/or the exhaust valve to the closing sides when the stop signal of an engine is detected, and by retaining a valve closing condition until the time elapsed after a vehicle speed and an engine speed become below predetermined values exceeds predetermined time.
CONSTITUTION: An inlet valve 10 has a valve driving part 1 including an armature 4, and fitted to the upper part of a combustion chamber. The closing side solenoid 5a of the valve driving part 1 or the opening side solenoid 5b thereof is energized so that a valve body 2 is moved between a fully closing position and fully opening position. In this case, when an ignition switch is switched off, electric power supply voltage is continuously supplied to a control circuit part 14 which outputs the valve closing command signal of the inlet valve 10 and drivingly controls the inlet valve 10. Next, the electric power supply voltage is stopped to be supplied to the control circuit part 14 after a predetermined time is elapsed from a point of time when an engine speed becomes below a predetermined rotational speed near to 0, and a vehicle speed becomes below a predetermined vehicle speed near to 0.
