To compensate an expectation value which is used to authenticate a main control board by a simple method, and also, to prevent fraudulent controls from the main control board to a peripheral board, and the leak out of information related to the expectation value and the authentication from occurring.
This electronic equipment includes: the main control board 310; and the peripheral board 330 which performs a specified process conforming to a control command which has been transmitted by the main control board 310. In the electronic equipment, the main control board 310 adds compensation data for compensating the expectation value which is used for the collation of data transmitted from the main control board 310, and authentication data for authenticating the main control board 310 when the control command which is transmitted to the peripheral board 330 is a specified control command. The main control board 310 transmits the compensation data prior to the completion of the transmission of the authentication data for the portion of a divided number to the peripheral board 330. The peripheral board 330 performs a dyadic operation to the received authentication data, and authenticates the main control board 310 by using the value which has been calculated by the dyadic operation and the compensated expectation value.
