PURPOSE: To improve fitting accuracy of chip-type electronic parts and to miniaturize fitting mechanism with indexing mechanism as the center by directly connecting the rotor of an angle-positioning motor coaxially to the rotary axis of an index table.
CONSTITUTION: A rotor 10 of an advance motor for positioning angle 9 is directly connected to the outer periphery of a hollow rotary axis 8 of an index table 1. An axis 8 is supported to a frame 11 by a ball bearing 12 and a stator 13 is fixed to the frame 11 coaxially to the rotor 10 and with a small gap with the rotor. Rotary position of the axis 8 is detected through gears 14 and 15 at the upper part of the axis 8. The axis 8 and the rotor 10 are free to rotate for a central supporting member 19 fixed to a cover 18 of the frame 11 and an electronic parts chip 20 is sucked from a parts supply device 2, posture correction and detection are made halfway, and are fitted to a printer board 7 on an XY stand 6. In this case, several tens of thousands pulses per revolution of the table 1 are generated from the encoder, are fed back, a motor 9 is driven intermittently, and rotary indexing is performed with improved accuracy. This configuration allows a device to be realized compactly and with less vibration.
