Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flexibility relating to the arrangement of character strings by displaying the state of arranging the input character strings in an arrangement reference graphic corresponding to an arrangement mode selected from the plural arrangement modes, changing the arrangement mode and changing the arrangement state of the character strings to the arrangement reference graphic.
SOLUTION: A main memory 22 stores a computer program functioning as a plate composition means 40, character sampling data 42, a plate composition command 44 and plate composition information 46. The plate composition means 40 realizes the functions of graphic setting, character sampling, mode selection, arrangement and arrangement change, etc., and the plate composition command 44 includes the specifying command of the arrangement mode. Then, the arrangement reference graphic to be a reference at the time of arranging the character string is set and the state of arranging the inputted character string in the arrangement reference graphic corresponding to the arrangement mode selected from the plural arrangement modes is displayed. Further, by changing the arrangement mode to another arrangement mode, the arrangement state of the character string to the arrangement reference graphic is changed.
