Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant silicone gel compsn. which is improved in compatibility of a silicone component with a phosphoric or phosphorous ester compd.
SOLUTION: This flame-retardant silicone get compsn. comprises: (A) a polyorganosiloxane wherein 0 to 10 mol.% of all the org. groups bonded to silicon atoms in the side chain portion is accounted for by phenyl groups with the other org. groups being methyl groups and the no. of vinyl groups among org. groups bonded to a silicon atom at the end portion is 0.4 to 2.0; (B) a polyorganohydrogensiloxane having two or more hydrogen atoms, per molecule, bonded to silicon atoms, the content of the component B is such that the sum of hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon atoms is 0.2 to 3.0 based on one vinyl group of the component A; (C) an inorg. filler in an amt. of 0 to 90 wt.% based on the total amt. of all the components; (D) a platinum catalyst in an amt. of 1 to 100 ppm in terms of platinum atom based on the total amt. of the components A, B, and C; and (E) a soln. of at least one phosphorous ester or phosphoric ester in an isocyanate compd. or a cyclic siloxane, the content of the phosphorous or phosphoric ester as the component E being 5 to 100 ppm based on the total amt. of the components A, B, and C.
