Abstract:
To perform autofocusing control by which higher speed and better precision are attained compared with an animation camera in an electronic still camera.
A high speed AF mode in which the period of one field is shortened by reading only a part of an imaging device after a shutter button is depressed and before a still picture is exposed at a consecutive photographing time is provided, and the autofocusing control is performed by the period of one field that is shortened.
