Abstract:
To provide an electronic ticket system which is superior in portability and operability and can be adaptive to various existing facilities.
The electronic ticket system is composed of a portable terminal (1) incorporating an IC chip (2) which can radio-communicate with an automatic ticket examination machine (4) and an IC card (5) which can communicate with the automatic ticket examination machine in a contact or a non-contact manner. In the electronic ticket system in which ticket data are loaded on the IC chip or the IC card and the ticket is automatically examined by the portable terminal or the IC card, ticket data can be transferred between the IC chip and the IC card.
