Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temperature rising and internal reflection even when intense projected light is made incident and to make the manufacture easy and enhance device reliability, in an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal device having an electrooptical substance such as a liquid crystal interposed between a pair of substrates.
SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device, prescribed patterns provided in a non-opening region of each pixel provided on a TFT array substrate 10 are covered with a light shielding film 23 provided on a counter substrate 20. The light shielding film consists of a multi-layered film including a high reflection film 23a positioned on the side not being faced to the TFT array substrate and a low reflection film 23b positioned on the side faced to the TFT array substrate and the high reflection film is covered by the low reflection film when viewed from the TFT array substrate side.
