Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle for steering the vehicle based on a white line of a lane to be changed when the lane change of the vehicle is executed by a driver during the steering control.
SOLUTION: A controller 7 (Fig. 1) calculates a target traveling lane 104 on the basis of white lines 101 and 102 in traveling on a left lane, and calculates a target traveling lane 105 on the basis of the white lines 102 and 103 in traveling on a right lane. A straight line 206 is a control torque straight line in left lane traveling, and a straight line 207 is a control torque straight line in right lane traveling. When the driver starts the lane change to the right lane while flickering a direction indicator for right direction, and the steering torque in the direction same as the flicking of the direction indicator is applied to a steering shaft for 500 ms or more, the controller 7 calculates the lateral deviation and an angle of deviation to the right lane. Whereby the direction of the steering torque by the automatic steering is changed over to the right direction to be agreed with the steering operation by the driver, and the steering is driven and controlled as shown in a torque straight line 207.
