Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC ENGRAVING LIQUID DEVELOPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3245681
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic engraving liquid developer free from texture soiling by containing at least a silicone oil in a liquid developer.
CONSTITUTION: In the liquid developer, which is used when forming a printing plate by eluting a non-image part with an alkaline solution and is made by dispersing a toner particle containing at least mainly a coloring agent and a resin after a latent image is formed on a surface of a original printing plate provided with a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate and is developed and fixed, a silicone oil is contained. That is, the silicone oil is high in electric resistance, low in solubility of the resin or an additive compared with an aliphatic hydrocarbon based solvent formally used and more excellent in a property such as water repellent property or oil repellent property than the aliphatic hydrocarbon based solvent. In a result, the electrophotographic engraving liquid developer using the silicone oil is small in texture soiling and excellent in resist property to the alkaline solution.
