To reduce a cost even in the case of miniaturizing the device and to reduce the number of components by arranging an air flow path for discharging air introduced from a 1st opening part through a 2nd opening part while passing between an image forming part and a fixing device.
The air flow path E is formed from the hole 206a of a partition 206 in the lower part of the device up to a hole 204 in the upper part of the device, as shown by an arrow, starting from the hole 206a, passing between a toner recovering box 153 and a DC power source 109, passing between a cleaning device 150 and the fixing device 130 by way of the hole 210a, entering an on-duct 201 and coming to the hole 204 through a main duct 203, a side duct 220 and a fan 205. Thus, a heat generated in the fixing device 130 is absorbed by the external cool air introduced from the hole 206 as the 1st opening part formed in the lower part of the device while the air passes between the cleaning device 150 and the fixing device 130, and then, the air is discharged outside the device from the hole 204 as the 2nd opening part formed in the upper part of the device.
