Abstract:

PURPOSE: To securely prevent the impact noise generated in an intake valve or an exhaust valve or the breakage of the suction valve or the exhaust valve when the intake valve or the exhaust valve is lifted by an oscillating cam.
CONSTITUTION: A fundamental circular part where a valve is not lifted even when the fundamental circular part may directly or indirectly be brought into contact with the intake valve or the exhaust valve in a slidable manner, and a lift circular part to be formed adjacent to the fundamental circular part where the valve is lifted when the lift circular part may directly or indirectly be brought into contact with the valve are formed on a cam surface 12a of an oscillating cam 12. A buffer circular part to more gently lift the valve than the other part in the lift circular part when being brought into contact in a slidable manner is provided on the part of the lift circular part adjacent to the fundamental circular part.
