Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable safe and high-efficiency discharge of leaked cargo liquid by a system wherein after receipt of the leaked cargo liquid from a cargo tank into a closed tank, an inactive gas is forced into the closed tank to discharge the leaked cargo liquid out into the discharge system. CONSTITUTION:With on-off valves 7 and 11 left opened, a leaked cargo liquid 4 that has entered a liquid receiving vessel 3 flows into a closed tank 5. When the liquid 4 in the closed tank 5 has reached a specific level, close the on-off valve 7 and apply a high-pressure inactive gas into the closed tank 5 through a piping 8. The liquid 4 is therefore forced out safely and efficiently into a leaked cargo discharge system 10 through a piping 10A by the pressure of the inactive gas.
