Abstract:
To provide an estimation device and estimation method capable of estimating the degree of battery degradation with high accuracy while suppressing a decrease in the estimation speed of the degree of battery degradation and an increase in the scale of a degradation estimation model.SOLUTION: The estimation unit has an acquisition unit, a calculation unit, a degradation estimation unit, and a switching unit. The acquisition unit acquires a traveling history of a vehicle that includes a usage status of a battery installed in the vehicle. The calculation unit calculates a degradation load amount of the battery on the basis of the traveling history. The degradation estimation unit estimates a degradation degree of the battery using a degradation estimation model. The switching unit switches the degradation estimation model used for the degradation degree estimation of the battery according to the degradation load amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
