Title:
EXHAUST DEVICE FOR MOTORCYCLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004026007
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To easily develop desired silencing performance without reducing the height of mufflers from a ground when arranged near the center of a vehicle body by improving an exhaust device for a motorcycle.

On the motorcycle 10 which has a cylinder block 47 mounted on the upper side of a crank case 46, a transmission case 57 extending backward from the crank case 46 and an engine 13 arranged between front and rear wheels 32, 15 with an oil pan (a protruded portion) 56 mounted at the lower part of the crank case 46, mufflers 18, 21 to be connected to the engine 13 via exhaust pipes 16, 17, 62 are arranged at the front and rear parts of the oil pan 56, respectively. Thus, compared with the reduced height of a conventional muffler from a ground when arranged at the lower part of the oil pan, these mufflers can be heightened from the ground and can be arranged apart from the front and rear parts of the oil pan, thus securing the required-length exhaust pipes to which the mufflers are connected and easily developing desired silencing performance.
