Abstract:

To provide an exhaust gas treating method capable of suppressing generation of scale.

In this exhaust gas treating method, sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas contained in exhaust gas is reacted with absorbing liquid in an absorbing column 21 to be absorbed and removed, an absorbent is mixed into the absorbing liquid from the absorbing column 21 in an absorbent mixing tank 31, and the absorbing liquid is returned to the absorbing column 21. When mixing the absorbent into the absorbing liquid from the absorbing column 21 in the absorbent mixing tank 31, gypsum slurry concentration in the absorbing liquid is set to a saturated state, and the absorbing liquid is supplied to the absorbing column 21 in such a state.
