Abstract:
To reduce treating cost of exhaust gas treatment and to enhance treatment efficiency.
In this exhaust gas treating method, sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas contained in exhaust gas is reacted with absorbing liquid containing calcium carbonate (CaCO3), and calcium formate (Ca(HCOO)2) in an absorbing column 21 to be absorbed and removed. Calcium carbonate and formic acid (HCOOH) are mixed into the absorbing liquid from the absorbing column 21 in an absorbent mixing tank 31 to form calcium formate, and the absorbing liquid and calcium formate are supplied to the absorbing column 21 after mixing an absorbent into the absorbing liquid. Exhaust gas is cooled to ≤150°C, then is reacted with the absorbing liquid and calcium formate in the absorbing column 21 to absorb and remove sulfur dioxide gas.
