Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a manual exposure mode even though an interchangeable lens which is not provided with a diaphragm ring is attached to a camera for a camera system using an interchangeable lens which is provided with the diaphragm ring and to improve the operability of exposure mode selection in the case the interchangeable lens which is provided with the diaphragm ring is attached to the camera for the camera system using the interchangeable lens which is not provided with the diaphragm ring.
SOLUTION: When the interchangeable lens having the diaphragm ring is attached to a camera main body, an A-position AE code is decided to be 0 or 1 so that a program mode and a shutter speed priority mode can be selected in the case the diaphragm ring is on a position A. An M-position AE code is decided to be 0, 1 or 2 so that the diaphragm priority mode, the manual mode and a valve can be selected in the case the diaphragm ring is on a position M. When the interchangeable lens which does not have the diaphragm ring is attached to the camera main body, a non-diaphragm ring AE mode code is decided to be 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 so that the program mode, the shutter speed priority mode, the diaphragm priority mode, the manual mode, and the valve can be selected.
