Title:
FAIL CONTROL DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002029290
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To appropriately perform torque down control in stalling regardless of the control of a fail-safe means to improve traveling performance compared with the case of appropriating a map for a reverse gear stage hardest in conditions at the fail time, regardless of the control of the fail-safe means.

In the stalling time torque down control of limiting engine torque in stalling, using an upper limit guard map set according to the gear stage of an automatic transmission, at the fail time of a shift position sensor or the like incapable of discriminating the gear stage of the automatic transmission (NO in S3 or S4), the establishment of a reverse gear stage 'Rev(LO)' with a largest gear ratio γ is limited by the fail-safe means, so that the engine torque is limited using an upper limit guard map exclusively used at the fail time, determined on the basis of other gear stages excluding the reverse gear stage 'Rev(LO)' (S10).
