To provide a fastening device on which a fastening construction confirming device can be mounted usefully for visually determining fastening completion and inspecting a failure to fasten.
The fastening device comprises a screw part, a ratchet member having a first ratchet base and first ratchet teeth, an elastic member, a washer, a second ratchet base, a fastening part, a rotary member, and a case. The ratchet member and the rotary member are locked to each other in such a state that first and second ratchet teeth engage with each other before the elastic member is compressed as predetermined, and unlocked from each other when the elastic member is compressed as predetermined. A second elastic member is arranged in a cavity between the outer face of the rotary member between the outer face and the intermediate of the second ratchet base and the inner face of the bent end of the case. After fastening, the cavity is widened in a screw axial direction so that a predetermined distance set for the rotary member between the upper end of the fastening part and the upper end of the case is shorter after fastening construction than before fastening construction. The construction confirming device is mounted on the outer face of the case for confirming fastening construction.
