To obtain a compsn. capable of promoting the mineral absorption in the bodies of animals and mineral absorption promotion feed by incorporating depolymerized galactomannan therein.
For example, citric acid is added to 900 parts water to adjust its pH to 3.0 and 0.2 part β-mannase derived from galactomannan bacteria and 100 parts guar gum powder are added and mixed to and with this water. Enzyme is acted thereon for 24 hours at 40 to 45°C. The enzyme is deactivated by heating for 15 minutes at 90°C after the reaction. The reaction product is spray dried after sepn. by filtration, by which 65 parts white powder of the galactomannan making into low molecular is obtd. This depolymerized galactomannan is added at 0.001 to 0.3% to the feed and further, mineral salts (e.g.; calcium carbonate, etc.) and vitamins (e.g.; vitamin D3) are incorporated therein, by which the desired feed is obtd.
