PURPOSE: To provide a film rewinding device for a camera by which film is rewound even in the case a battery is consumed or it is impossible to rewind the film by motor-driving because of the fault of a driving system such as a motor.

CONSTITUTION: In the case the film 31 can not be rewound by the driving motor 3, a rewinding gear 9 is rotated clockwise by inserting a finger or the like from the aperture part of a camera outside body 1. By such rotation, the coupling of a planet gear unit 12 is released and the motor 3 is in a cut-off state. Simultaneously, the film 31 is rewound by the manual rotation of the gear 9.
