Title:
FINE MIXED OXIDE POWDER, PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOR AND CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003020227
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To produce multiple oxide powder which has a large specific surface area and a large fine pore volume even after endurance at a high temperature, and in which, even when used as a catalyst carrying noble metals, the growth of the grains of the noble metals can be suppressed after endurance at a high temperature.

The powder consists of a multiple oxide of Zn oxide and the oxide of a metal M which is not allowed to enter into solid solution with the Zr oxide, and in which the Zr oxide and the oxide of metal M are uniformly dispersed on an nm scale. Since different oxides are acted as mutual barriers, sintering is suppressed. Further, fine pores formed between the oxides are made into mesofine pores on an nm scale, and a large specific surface area and a large fine pore volume can be realized.
