Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption for a heater, at the time of raising the fixing temp. from the fixing temp., when the fixing temp. falls within the fixation permissible temp., to the set temp. for fixing. SOLUTION: Relating to this fixing device the fixing temp. within the fixation permissible temp. is raised to the set temp. for fixing, after consecutive passing paper, or after a standby mode completing by equipping a main heater 23 with large power consumption and the sub-heater 24 with the small power consumption in a fixing roller 21. At this time, on applying the judgment temp. between both temp., the control is performed so as to turn on only the main heater 23, or both of the main heater 23 and the sub-heater 24, when the fixing temp. is lower than the judgment temp., while, to turn on the sub-heater 24 only or the main heater 23 only, when the fixing temp. is more than the judgment temp.
