PURPOSE: To realize downsizing by making possible to interpose a terminal board easily and positively between a head chip and the rotary drum side.

CONSTITUTION: The flexible terminal boards 49A, 49B for magnetic head assembly are interposed, respectively, between a rotary drum 40 constituting a magnetic head drum 50 and magnetic heads 43A, 43B fixed to the rotary drum, wherein flexible base films 61A, 61B are provided with conductor patterns 53A, 53B. Cutting is made at a predetermined position under a state being bonded to a base 47 secured with the magnetic heads 43A, 43B thus producing the flexible terminal board. When bonding is made to the base, a flexible terminal board material 69 provided with means 70 for determining the bonding position is employed and fixed to a corresponding jig 71, thus positioning the flexible terminal board material 69 with respect to the base 47 and bonding thereto.
