To provide a float for fishing, capable of solving such a problem that conventional floats for fishing are in a state of detecting a fish only when the fish is caught and therefore the conventional float for fishing cannot determine whether a shoal of fish exists under the float or not when the float for fishing is cast.
In this float for fishing, an umbrella-shaped stabilizing plate 2 is formed near a bottom end of a cylindrical body 1, a coupling tool 4 to which a fishline 3 is joined is fastened to a top end of the cylindrical body 1, a coupling tool 8 to which a fishline 7 connected to a weight 5 and a fishing hook 6 is joined is fastened to the bottom end of the cylindrical body 1, a piezoelectric transducer 9 is positioned at a bottom end of an inner space of the cylindrical body 1, an oscillator 10 is positioned on the piezoelectric transducer 9, an electric source 11, such as a cell, is positioned on the oscillator 10, a receiver 12 equipped with an amplifier is positioned on the electric source 11, and a light-emitting body 13 which is positioned at the upper end of the inner space of the cylindrical body 1 is made to emit light by a reflected wave signal received by the receiver 12.
