Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type architectural structure capable of floating upward by a buoyant force without performing operation related to float flotation when tsunami occurs due to an earthquake.SOLUTION: A float type architectural structure includes: a floor slab constructed to expose at least an upper end face on a ground surface; an architectural structure which forms a clearance by installing a base on the floor slab, can be separated from the base, and has a float function capable of floating on a water surface; and an outer peripheral wall which is erected on the floor slab so as to enclose the architectural structure, has a height dimension more than an approximate half of a maximum assumed tsunami height, and forms an opening hole. The dimension of the clearance between the floor slab and the architectural structure is at least approximately the same with the inside dimensions of the opening hole formed on the outer peripheral wall.
