To provide a fluorinated inert liquid with enhanced light transmission properties and its manufacturing method.
The manufacturing method of the fluorinated inert liquid with high light transmission properties comprises incrementally increasing the light transmittance by treating a fluorinated inert liquid stepwise by at least two treating steps, where the light transmittance within 250-500 nm (at an optical path length of 50 mm) is raised up to at least 50% by an arbitrary treatment in the first-step treatment and the light transmittance within 220-500 nm or 200-500 nm (at an optical path length of 50 mm) is raised to 90% or higher by treating the liquid with an adsorbent mainly composed of silica and/or alumina or an adsorbent mainly composed of carbon in the second-step treatment. The fluorinated inert liquid is also provided.
