Title:
FLUX COMPOSITION FOR SOLDERING AND CREAM SOLDER COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3405865
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electrical characteristics and solderability by incorporating a rosin deriv. contg. a primary carboxyl group obtd. by bringing rosins and a first carboxyl group-contg. hydroxy compd. into reaction into a flux compsn.
SOLUTION: This flux compsn. is prepd. by incorporating the rosin deriv. contg. the primary carboxyl group into the compsn. as a base resin. Since the rosin deriv. used as the base resin of such flux compsn. has the primary carboxyl group, the flux compsn. has excellent activity and, therefore, the base resin alone is usable but activators, such as halogenated hydrogen acid salt of amine, org. acids and org. amines, may be incorporated therein in order to further improve the activity. The combination use of synthetic resins, such as rosins or rosin derivatives, used as the base resins of the flux compsn. and the incorporation of additives, such as antioxidants, in addition to these resins into the flux compsn. are possible as well.
