Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate pulse noise properly in response to the setting of a band width of an IF filter by making the pass band of the IF filter narrow depending on a deteriorated reception state and providing the output of a gate width variable signal.
CONSTITUTION: A reception state detection section 8 discriminates the reception state of a broadcast station received at present. When the reception state is excellent, a broad band IF filter 1-2 is selected and when it is discriminated that the reception state is deteriorated due to adjacent disturbance since an IF filter set to a narrow band, a narrow band setting signal to select an IF filter 1-1 is outputted to a changeover section 1-3 of the IF filter section 1. Furthermore, the detection section 8 outputs a gate width variable signal to a pulse noise canceller 4 so as to set the gate time of the pulse noise canceller 4 long.
