Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the erroneous recognition of a photographer or the malfunction of a focal point detector from occurring by prohibiting the detecting operation of a focal point detecting means corresponding to a detection signal by a detecting means which detects the tilt quantity or shift quantity of a photographic lens.

CONSTITUTION: The tilt quantity and the shift quantity detected by an encoder 11 for tilt and an encoder 12 for shift are compared with prescribed values at comparators 23, 24, respectively. When size relation with the prescribed values at the comparators 23, 24 are inputted to a lens information output part 25, and a signal representing the fact that the former is larger than the latter is inputted, the lens information output part 25 outputs it to a camera range finding control part 26 via a contact. A control part in a camera main body outputs a focal point detection prohibiting signal or an alarm signal. In other words, when luminous flux is eclipsed in focal point detection or danger where accurate focal point detection is disabled due to the unbalancing of light quantity to a sensor exists, the prohibiting signal of the focal point detection is outputted, and it is notified to the photographer.
