To provide a small-sized food monitoring device capable of predicting and reporting the best time to eat food, an appreciation time limit, a safety degree or a danger degree, etc., by monitoring the preservation environment conditions of the food and performing the respective kinds of display corresponding to the conditions in the case that a preservation environment satisfies fixed conditions.
Temperature data detected by a temperature sensor 10 are sent to a storage device 12 through a controller 11 and stored along with time data outputted by a timer 13. The data are used so as to recognize the preservation state of the food. Discrimination condition data for indicating the correspondence relation of the temperature data, the time data and display data are stored in the storage device 12 as well and the controller 11 utilizes the data and performs corresponding display at a display device 14. For instance, when the appreciation time limit comes or when it is shifted from a specified temperature, alarming is performed by a lamp and a buzzer, etc.
