Title:
FORMATION OF DECORATION ON CULINARY UTENSIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3696279
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a metallic culinary utensil whose entire surface is made hardly stained and easily washed by directly applying a strongly adhered decoration to the surface thereof.
CONSTITUTION: This method is executed by forming the decoration 2 based on a fluorocarbon resin and a colored pigment on a part of one side of the metallic culinary utensil by the following steps. At least the one side of the utensil is chemically attacked, stuck microcavities 3 are formed thereon and a composition based on the fluorocarbon resin and the colored pigment is directly applied on predetermined areas of the one side delimiting the decoration 2. Then the fluorocarbon resin of the decoration 2 is cured by heating, and the one side, including the decoration 2, is press-formed with sufficient pressure to eliminate the microavities 3 in the area outside the area covered by the decoration 2 and to regenerate a lustrous metallic surface. A plate of aluminium or aluminium alloy is preferably used for press forming and then screen printing, thereby applying the decoration 2.
