PURPOSE: To provide a formation method of a paste-like substance layer wherein mask alignment is simple, a device part is not soiled and a layer thickness is uniform regarding a method for forming a paste-like substance layer in a fixed surface of a device part.

CONSTITUTION: A base stand 40 with a recessed part 41 whose depth is equal to a height of a device part and external form is larger than an outside dimension of a device part and a mask 20 which has a window hole which is similar to a form of an application surface of a device part wherein a paste-like substance layer is formed and is smaller than it and also has a frame member 25 which is fit to an outside of the base stand 40 in a circumferential edge part are provided. A device part is inserted to the recessed part 41 with an application surface up, the mask 20 is set by fitting the frame member 25 to the outside of the base stand 40, and the window hole 21 is screen-printed and filled with paste-like substance.
