Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the width dimension of the whole vehicle and make structure and shape simple and lightweight by offsetting an engine to either one of the right and left sides in relation to the body centerline, and offsetting a rear cushion to the other side.
CONSTITUTION: The center of an engine 12 is disposed being offset by (a) to the left (down in a figure) in relation to the body centerline L. A rear cushion 24 is disposed being offset by (b) to the right (lower side in a figure. Rear wheel driving means such as a gear box 25 and a drive shaft disposed on the same side as the engine 12 can be thereby brought close to the body centerline L by the offset quantity (b) of the rear cushion 24, and the width dimension of a rear arm 21 and a body frame 4 can be made small. That is, the (c) dimension of the engine 12 can be reduced by the total a+B of the offset quantity (b) of the rear cushion 24 and the offset quantity (a) of the engine 12.
