This fragrant imitation wool is such that the surface of the fiber is dispersedly stuck with fragrant microcapsules via a binder resin, and the relationship between the diameter of a single fiber and the average size of the microcapsules, the weight ratio of the encapsulated matter to microcapsule wall, the ratio of the major axis to minor axis for each of the microcapsules, the weight ratio of the binder resin to microcapsules, and the stuck condition for the microcapsules to the binder resin, are specified, respectively. Another version of this fragrant imitation wool is such as to be provided with a combination of thermochromism with fragrance through applying thermochromic fiber as the fiber itself.
