Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrapping bag made of a novel resin film which enables preserving freshness of fruit and vegetables for a relatively longer time period.SOLUTION: Fruit and vegetables are packed and sealed in a wrapping bag made of biaxially drawn polypropylene film which has at least two layers such as a sealing layer and a base material layer, for example. The wrapping bag for fruit and vegetables has following characteristics such as (a) the film contains propylene random copolymer in the sealing layer, (b) oxygen penetration of the film is within the range of 900-2,600 cm/m24h atm, and carbon dioxide penetration of the film is within the range of 2,500-7,600 cm/m24h atm (c) the wrapping bag is filled with inert gases including carbon dioxide, and a ratio of carbon dioxide in the gases is within the range of 1-20 vol.% and (d) the wrapping bag is heat sealed with fruit and vegetables inside.SELECTED DRAWING: None
