To efficiently provide fuel from a fuel supply cartridge to a fuel cell and, at the same time, to efficiently recover water discharged from the fuel cell without requiring another power supply.
For power generation of the fuel cell 2 providing electric power to portable electronic equipment 20 through an electrode 6 and a conduction means 20a, gas 19 pushes a piston 11 to provide the fuel 18 from the fuel supply cartridge 1 to the fuel cell 2, and the water 21 generated by power generation is discharged from a power generating cell 3 to a water discharge part 5. When a piston 11 moves forward with reduction of the fuel 18 and expansion of the gas 19, a connection rod 13 is interlocked with it, a piston 12 retreats, and the inside of a water recovery chamber 10 becomes a negative pressure. Thereby, the water 21 in the water discharge part 5 is sucked and recovered in the water recovery chamber 10.
