Title:
FULL MOLD CASTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6434574
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the collapse of a molding sand layer and to manufacture a casting under an excellent production efficiency by pressurizing the upper face of a mold by a closing plate of specific structure and the stopper engaged therewith in case of casting a casting with a full mold method.

CONSTITUTION: A polystyrene made lost-wax pattern 7 is placed in a flask member 2, a cast sand 9 is filled up on the periphery thereof and the density of the cast sand layer is increased by the vibration. A stopper 11 moving in the horizontal direction is provided on the surface 9a of the cast sand 9 and a disk like closing plate 5 equipped with the engaging member 5a having the tapered slope 5b which is engaged with the tapered slope 11a thereof is mounted thereon. After exhausting the inside of the mold from the pressure reducing port 2b of the flask member 2 a molten metal is filled in from the sprue 10 including the closing plate 5 and the molten metal is cast in the space where the lost-wax pattern 7 is removed by combustion. It is solidified with pressurizing by the pressure gaseous body of from the gaseous body pressurizing device 3 fitted to the sleeve 6 of a cover 4. At this time, since the cast sand 9 is pressed with the closing plate 5 being pressed downwards by the horizontal movement of the stopper 11 the collapse of the mold by the molding sand is prevented, the solidification is quickened and the productivity of castings is improved.
